Why are TCW classes so long?

We know that our classes are longer than many similar extra-curricular activities, and we are excited to give you a great hourly value for a few reasons:

• It gives us time for character-building (shaping the whole person is important to you, and to us too).

• We want to allow time to really learn and not just ‘do a craft’ or project.

• Many families come a distance to create with us and we want to make it worth their drive. During classes, parents and caregivers traveling from farther away can run errands, walk the Jordan River Trail behind our home studio, or take other children to one of the many nearby parks.

Are there any requirements of students?

Yes! There is so much happening in workshops and class each week, so we do have some minimum expectations...

• discussions on creativity, organization, work, charity, and entrepreneurism

• listening respectfully and carefully to instructions...we always have A LOT to get through in class

• learning new (or developing current) skills, with a willingness to work on every activity we are spending time on, even if it's not their first choice

• working with equipment and tools that could potentially be dangerous if students are not self-disciplined

• clean up, etc...this is required, as it is an important skill and helps create a grateful heart as each class sets up for and serves the following class🤍

What should my student do to prepare for and bring to class?

Hair should always be pulled back and we suggest bringing a filled water bottle.

What should my student leave at home?

We know many students have phones and watches. Feel free to bring them to class if you need them, but because they can be a distraction, please don’t pull them out or use them without asking first. Toys, accessories, outside food, and other distractions should also be left at home please.

Where is TCW located?

We create out of our home studio in South Jordan, Utah, just a couple minutes off of I-15 and 11400 S, easily accessible from much of the valley.

Do you offer family and multi-class discounts?

Yes! We love having siblings attend classes! We offer a 10% discount when more than one sibling enrolls in classes as well as for students and families taking more than one workshops in the same semester.

The 10% is automatically applied when siblings enroll in the same class or workshop. If you are enrolling students in a different or additional class or workshop, please reach out for a discount code.

Can we get reimbursed for TCW homeschool classes?

TCW is a vendor for Carson Smith/CFEF and UEFA, and our classes qualify for OpenEd reimbursement. Contact us with questions!
